What is a Pela Case made of?
Our cases are made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. They are 100% compostable and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium, and lead.
How long does it take for a Pela Case to compost?
In a standard home compost environment, a Pela Case will typically break down within 6 months to 2 years, depending on the conditions of the compost pile.
Will a compostable case actually protect my phone?
Yes! Pela cases are designed to be durable and shock-absorbent. They have been drop-tested to protect your device from everyday bumps and falls just as effectively as traditional plastic cases.
What is your shipping policy?
We offer carbon-neutral shipping worldwide. Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days, and delivery times vary between 3-10 business days depending on your location.
What is the 'Pela 360' program?
Pela 360 is our recycling program. You can send us your old Pela case or any other plastic phone case, and we will ensure it is properly composted or recycled so it doesn't end up in a landfill.
Do you offer a screen protection guarantee?
We offer a 'Screen Protection Guarantee' on select bundles. If your screen breaks while wearing a Pela Case and our liquid screen protector, we will pay for the repair costs up to a specified amount.
